Providing Full-Service Grant Support to Expand Financial Literacy Programs for Low-Income and At-Risk Youth In Washington State

In early 2023, Your Money Matters Mentoring (YMMM) set out to expand its financial literacy programs for underserved youth across Washington State, with a vision to equip at-risk youth with the skills needed to make informed financial decisions and build brighter futures. Recognizing the critical need for sustainable funding, YMMM partnered with UrbanSceneries Consulting to secure the resources necessary to fuel this growth.

Through our collaboration, we worked with YMMM to translate their mission into compelling grant applications that attracted funders dedicated youth empowerment, youth development, and financial education. Our support included identifying targeted funding opportunities, crafting proposals with clear aligned budgets, and showcasing the transformative impact of YMMM’s work in the community.

Since partnering with Your Money Matters Mentoring, we have successfully secured over $500,000 in grant funding, providing vital support for their financial literacy programs. In addition, YMMM received essential funding for their Workforce Development and Career Exploration programs, opening up new pathways for marginalized youth to explore career options and gain skills for long-term success.

These resources allow YMMM to expand its reach and impact, delivering financial literacy education and career-building opportunities to more youth affected by economic hardship, homelessness, and justice system involvement. With this support, YMMM is empowering more young people to achieve financial stability, independence, and brighter futures.
